I got a speak with Timothy who hosts Electrobox, the soundtrack to every Friday Night party in Seattle. Timothy coined the term “Transnational Dance Music”—if you do a quick search for the term on your favorite search engine, it doesn’t come up. If it doesn’t come up on Google, you know it’s cool.
Richard: Hey Timothy! When does Electrobox run?
Timothy: Fridays from 8:30pm until midnight.
Richard: How would you describe the “transnational dance music” that you play on your show?
Timothy: “Underground EDM from around the world”.
Richard: What’s the best part about having Electrobox on the radio?
Timothy: I love introducing C89.5 listeners to new music from around the world.
Richard: We try to keep you busy here at C89.5. I know you have many experiences, but if you could pick one, what one that has stuck with you?
Timothy: Probably the transition to digital during the late nineties. It was a lot of work.
Richard: On a personal level, what do you listen to?
Timothy: Mixed genre bass music
Richard: Ahh, kinda like the show! Anything to shout out before I let you go?
Timothy: Thank you to our amazing specialty show fans!
Richard: Thanks Timothy!
