50th Anniversary
On January 25th, 1971, Nathan Hale High School electronics teacher, Larry Adams, launched KNHC radio to give his students an exciting, hands-on learning experience with new technology.
This year, C89.5 celebrates 50 years of exciting dance radio. Produced by the DJs, staff, teachers, and students at Nathan Hale, C89.5 brings joy to 100,000’s of listeners across Puget Sound and around the world, and provides career-connected learning opportunities for hundreds of students.
