Woolly (Full Groove)
Woolly is a DJ who went through the C89.5 program as a student and still returns to volunteer Monday nights for Full Groove alongside Tollefson. He especially likes house, disco, and electronic music with lots of bleeps, bloops, and blorps.
Mel McCoy (Planet Dance & Sunday Afternoons 2-6pm)
Trent Von (NuSkool + Ol’ School, Save the Wave & Electrobox)
Trent Von made his debut on C-89.5fm in 1995, and has been downright chuffed (the good kind!) to represent the world’s longest running dance station for the past 25 years, with shows including Save the Wave, Electrobox, the Drive@5 and NuSkool + Ol’ School.
A professional nightclub DJ since 1985, Trent considers himself first and foremost, a fan of music. This isn’t just limited to his specialties (house, breaks, trance and classic new wave/post-punk/industrial). He’s a true freestyler, as comfortable mixing a set of DnB as he is with ska and glam. But, to the relief of his radio and club audiences, he only performs songs from Paint Your Wagon for his most captive audience: his cat and wife. In 2007, Trent became a Billboard Dance Music Panelist, representing Seattle and contributing to the national Billboard dance music charts.
